Whats up with this secret menu?

Can anyone tell me whats up with this Debug menu?! :huh: I opened it now at night and it has been shown up! :S 31359 :plain:

Its not a secret if u tell people. And if I were to guess, I'd say u some how got a copy the the develapers ver. of Dolphin or by hitting a buch of random buttons u activated some secret debug menu.

Hmm either you used a resource hacker, or it's a bug which reveals those options, yes the debug version contains those options.

The release compilations don't contain the extra functions so they won't do anything AFAIK.

There is definately a bug in the emulator. Hacking can reveal these options too but will most likely crash the emu. I'ts one of them "wtf the emu is acting up! now it closed??? wtf!! Opened it again and another menu is there??? nice!". I don't see why that menu should be a secret. Oh well it is a beta version after all :\

Hmm, one quick Question:

Why isn't that menu available to everyone? That may actually bring up some nice fixes because everyone could play around with all the parameters.

Look at Dolwin, for example, everyone can make "patches" by viewing the disassembled code.

So why not let everybody play around with the options, there isn't anything they could break doing it, is there? And if there is, it's their problem.

And for the "i just opened it and it was there", since this is the guy that is paranoid about a secret button for unlimited FPS (see other thread) I would guess he just edited the resource file to make his statement that there is a secret-developer-super-unlimited-version of Dolphin more convincing.

I know that there is, just not visible in the normal version. And being a programmer myself, I know that nothing "is just there". So you either edited the resource or this is a shortcut for developers that you accidentally discovered.

it's only a stupid menu. no need to do a debate on it. You got it to show, congrat, now stop messing with the emu and play or simply go do smth else.
