Dumping models?

Is there any way to dump the model files out of n64 roms? Would be nice to redo models as well as textures for the games. If not, is there any way to extract files out of the roms(assuming the even have a filesystem)?

i think someone was doing something about dumping the maps of mario 64, and trying to edit them or something like that. it is probably possible somehow
