hello
i'm having trouble getting chankast to recognize my images as game files. I have a CDI which didn't work, so I used ExoBoot to create an ISO of it. both images mounted onto a drive are not recognized as games but incompatible data discs on chankast.
I don't know what I'm supposed to do from here. Can anyone offer some help?

From my experience, changing the CD image format rarely works. There's a good chance the the image is corrupt.
...
Does this happen with every game you've tried?

at the moment i only have this one game. (utopia works but i don't even know what that is, except that it's not a game.) the torrent said this game was non-bootable. what am I supposed to do?

I don't know what you're loading the image with, but if it's not Daemon Tools 3.29, it probably won't work. Your computer should recognize it as a music CD, and when loaded into Chankast, it should play.
I don't know what it means by non-bootable, but if that means that it's not self bootable, look in the FAQs for information about making it bootable.

AFAIK, non self-boot games do not work in Chankast.

but isn't there a way to turn it into a self-bootable game?

use the utopia boot disk to load the game.

Unmount the bootdisc and then mount the game. That's how bootdiscs work on the real console, AFAIK (except you don't mount CD images of course).

so all you do is mount the bootdisc, unmount it, mount the game on the same vdrive and then load the drive in chankast?
i tried it like that and it didn't work.

So you're saying that
Mounting the bootdisc --> Running it in Chankast ---> Unmounting the bootdisc when the bootdisc menu (or whatever it is) appears, without stopping emulation --> Mounting the game disc, and pressing a button etc. etc.
didn't work? If so, then I don't know wht to say anymore.
