would a supercomputer work?

Nope. Dolphin isn't multithreaded so wouldn't benefit from more than a single CPU, an supercomputing involves many standard CPUs running in parallel to work.

Gamecube emulation is currently in its infancy. You can not play games on these emulators... nor will you be able to for quite some time. As each generation is released, programmers need to come up with new ways to maximize the performance of the hardware. Often times this results in reduced compatibility. Thus the problem with N64 emulation and now GC emulation. We will understand more and make a better product. Until then... patience and prayers...
Let us pray...
"Lord. Although there are starving people around the world and those who will sit in their homes without heat this Christmas, I pray for a working 100% compatible, speedy emulator for Christmas. Please let this happen regardless of how many other important things exist. Thank you God for all you have given me... but I will thank you more when I get my emulator. Amen."
