Mortal Kombat Trilogy Crash

I am happy that the game works fine with project 64 1.6 but there is a problem when I play 8 man tournament the screen goes black when the second match before the semifinals is about to start.

I tried (E) and (U) versions of the game and the problems seems to be the same.

Does anyone else have this problem?

AMD Athlon XP 1.5 GHz
256 Mb ram
32 Mb Video Card (I know it sucks)

I don't think it has to do with my system because the games marked as high system requirement like golden eye work fine with me.
