Hey..first post so go easy

I've recently downloaded Project64 and am really interested in updating WWF No Mercy as much as possible...I have seen some of the threads on 1964 updates, but when I downloaded 1964, I couldn't get the Rice plugin to work.

Does anyone know if it's possible to update No Mercy on P64? And if so how do I go about doing it?

Thanks in advance

Well there are a couple of answers to your question. One way of updating your game is with Texture Mods, which can be downloaded at The No Mercy Zone Forums, here's the link, http://thenomercyzone.clicdev.com/f/index.php?

One bit of information is make sure you look at most posts before you start making topics, a lot of members there don't like new people that just go around saying I want this and this and where can I find this and this, first look really good then ask.

Second option which goes well with the first option is you find wrestler replacements which can also be found at The No Mercy Zone Forums, this means you can replace Road Dogg with lets say Hulk Hogan, they use Gameshark codes that can change all of that characters moves even though in the game you can't.

I hope this answered your question and if you need any help at The No Mercy Zone I'm a member there and can help you, my screen name is the same as the one on this forum.

Here's some pictures of the Texture Mods. Click image for full pictures.

Thanks.....I did have a good look round there, but what I'm really looking for is a tutorial type thing...I'm not about to go asking for insane amounts of codes specifically for me!

Is it possible to do it on p64 or is 1964 better? I have both and 1964 has the newest rice plugin installed....once I get a push on the way I should be able to do it myself!

Thanks anyway!

There's a tutorial but you have to sign up to see 'em.

Oh btw this is in the wrong area

I still can't seem to get anything but a blank screen for the begining, and nearly all black when I get to the menu. It's exactly the same with 1964 and Project 64 once I choose Rice as my plugin?

I already posted at NMZ what the problem is and it's your graphics card, it's crap

yes unfortunately you have to have a pretty highend graphics card to run this program at it's best. PJ64 is the best emu for No Mercy because of the compatibilty and stability of the PJ64. You dont need the very best graphics card but you do need a good one.

Okay... I went to the No Mercy Zone and there's nothing even remotely similar to the texture pics Mongo posted. Where can I get stuff like that?

Well, I just downloaded the game and the emulator. I can play the game but I don't know what to do with texture. Like, I downloaded one and I don't know what to do from there. Is there anything else I need?

Sadly u cannot insert cheat codes in PJ64. Problem solved: play the games without cheat codes or use 1964 with PJ64 plugins like i do(it's incredebly powerfull). 1964 has gameshark support.

Yes you can, by editing the Project64.cht file. If you know how that is.

And you can also find all this information in the PJ64 userguide. I suggest you give it a read Blacklord.

But, does anyone know how to add extra superstars. Like, lets say somebody made a AJ Styles. How would I be able to put him into the rom?

smalls5791: This isn't the correct area to ask this kind of thing. Anyway make sure you follow the CAW formula correctly

Blacklord: You got PWNED...

Agozer

You don't, unless that created character is some kind of save data, in which case you need to somehow import that save data into Project64.

Which is not really the same as "putting it into the rom".

I seriously suggest you start reading up on things before making statements Blacklord or you will just continue making yourself like an idiot like you already have, not to forget giving out false information. Of course i don't mind you making yourself look like an idiot, i always encourage people to use the gifts god gives you, but i really don't like false information.

i download the texture mod for Orton but don't know how to install it. help please

You should be asking where you got the mod not here but whatever...

You need the latest Rice Video plugin to use texture mods...once you have them you will need the two folders it uses... texture_dump* and hires

once you created those, extract the mod into the hires folder...it will create a new folder for that mod...make sure you dont change the name of the folder...and name the wrestler exactly how they put in the formula...if you renamed the folder the mod wont work...Then follow the formula and your done.

I'm having a problem playing No Mercy on project 64. Sometimes the game itself gets stuck, and sometimes it gives me errors saying Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: Runtime error! Program:D:\Project 64 1.6\Project64.exe R6025 -pure virtual funtional call. And sometimes it gives me errors saying Executing from non-mapped space. Verify ROM and ROM settings. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this problem? Should I just reintall Project 64?
