What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

Can someone make a Step by Step?

Hi I want to try Djipi final project that just got released but I really don't know how to make it work. I even read the Help threads.

Can someone make a step by step on how to install everything properly? I'm talking about a step by step for someone who only has PJ64 and the Zelda rom. It would be really appreciated!!

1. Download 1964 (or Project 64).
2. Install the selected emulator.
3. Download Rice Video 6.1.1 beta10. You can get it in this forum.
4. Extract the plug-in to the "plugins" folder in the emulator's directory.
5. Download BMGlib.
6. Extract it to the emulator directory. (NOT the plugins folder.)
7. Create a new folder in the plugins folder named "hires_texture".
8. Create a new folder in hires_texture named "THE LEGEND OF ZELDA".
9. Extract Djipi's pack into THE LEGEND OF ZELDA.
10. Open the emulator and make sure Rice's Video is selected.
11. Go into Video Plug-in Settings and uncheck "Hide Advanced Settings" and click OK.
12. Go back into the settings and go into "Texture Filters" and check "Load hi-res textures if available".

That should be it.

Edit: Oh, and I agree. Detailed instructions should be posted somewhere. I had to go through a lot of stuff in order to figure out a lot of this. A lot of unnecessary guess work on my part; however, good for you because you don't have to do that.

Here's a video tutorial. Unfortunately, it'll take a while to load (load it while downloading the pack!).

Could someone make this a sticky, so we can stop seeing these questions five times a day?

Give me back my floppy face!
Yes, but this is a much more detailed step-by-step. The easiest way to solve the problem is to simply add the step-by step in the first post of the help thread, then even super-n00bs should get the picture.

It osn't working for me. It loads all the textures and everything, then the screen just goes black and all I get is sound.

Try opening the emulator, then Options, then Configure Graphics Plugin.

After that, click on the General Options tab* and in the Render Engine bar, select Open GL.

That might help.

*Find and turn off 'Hide Advanced Settings' for more options to become available, then more tabs will consequently appear.
