Controller Problems

I bought a controller from here

and when I plug into play the JNES is not allowing me to use it? Anybody know why this might be happening? I easily meet the minimum system reqt's of mhz speed, memory, etc..... Any advice or help is much appreciated.

Why I have the JNES open and active, I go to the options menu and then Input and then I select the controller "retr". But the controller still does not work. My keyboard controls work perfectly fine when I select keyboard as my input.

I did go to the windowns control panel ---> controllers and verify that the controller is being picked up on the USB port and that it is active (I did the test it allows you to do where you press the buttons and the D-pad).

I've also contacted the dealer but they haven't responded yet.

Any more ideas???
