i have got smash brothers rom, plays on pj64, but the rom is a exe file? goodn64 wont pick it up, and ive been told elsewhere that its not a rom ??? any ideas? ???

Ayyee, but what i meant was, goodwindows wont recognise it, therefore, how do i rename it ? I downloaded goodwindows and goodn64, but can only open goodwindows , am i totaly doin things wrong ?

One, long, sentence... go to NeSc (http://smiff.clara.net) and download Tool64, open the rom and find out which byteorder the roms has... and rename it to the correct byteorder through the nitfy tool CK Rename, which is also avalible for download at Smiff's...

CKrename is just a general batch renaming util, it has no logic specific to emulation... for some reason GoodN64 uses a filter by extension so the ROM must have some sort of N64 rom extension to be seen - I just use .rom before verifying.

couldn't it just be a self-extracting thing? have you tried just double clicking?

No guys, he said he can load Good Windows, but he can't load Good 64...

He dosn't know how to use it.
