The note for the Madden games says /pitch. So I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what Smiff is trying to say, because to me the field color is wrong. What the heck is pitch? Then I go to Olax's site and he also talks about the pitch in Madden.???
ARRRGH!!:!!!:
Time to investigate. My first thought is that it's a British thing. Oh, what's this? Olax is British too. Hmmm...time to consult trusty Merriam-Webster (dictionary). Ahh! What do ya know, in the UK "pitch" is used to denote a "playing field". You crazy Brits.:p

No no no, "pitch" has nothing to do with sound, at least not in this case. To the British a "pitch" is a playing field.:p
