Remote Volume information under windows?

I've been searching for system information I can get for a remotely mounted volume ID.

I can identify a volume that is connected via a network but that is about it using GetDriveType() GetVolumeInformation() does not return anything for a network disk volume (el blanko).

So.. any thoughts or suggestions on this?

There's an article at VBnet discussing the GetDiskFreeSpace API call that supposedly works for network drives. It's in VB, but the documentation of the API calls should be readily available on MSDN.
