Tell me how large it is and I might. I don't want to set the limit too high, because that would increase loading times for 56k:ers. :)

And here's RatTrap. Welcome to the new dungeon. :P

I'm used to it already, I used the vBulletin skin at the old Emutalk. :)

yeah?.. the only button that kinda ticks me off is the most important one actually.. not used to having the "new thread" button right under all posts..

imo the "new thread" and the "post reply" buttons should switch places.. but that's just me :) ..

There is only one thing I can say... WELL DONE!!!
Installing VBulletin is a smart move. If you keep frequent backups of the database even if the server has a total faliure you can always reinstall it and have all the posts, members and other settings back.
I suggest you take a look to some PHP manuals because you can implement some very intresting hacks into the board.

Martin : It is 28,672 bytes

Rat: Thats a good idea to switch the buttons

LefterisD: Thanks a lot. As for the hacks, I don't want to hack it. Mainly because I've hacked ikonboard when we used it here at Emutalk, and hacking always make software less stable. Besides, vB has a lot of features built in already. :)

RatTrap and Macca: Aren't those buttons placed on the exact same spot as iB3? Either way, I think they're fine where they are. It's a matter of getting used to it, I guess. :D

Macca: Limit set to 35kb. Add your avatar. :)

It wasn't the hacks that made IB3 crash. It was the fact that it is still beta.
It couldn't handle the huge load of the existing data.

Trust me VB can handle any hack you put in as long as it is written correctly.

And tell your moderators to start learning how to use this http://www.emutalk.net/mod/index.php
That place is where their biggest power is held... Banning!!!

nah.. actually.. on ib the buttons where switched.. it's the only reason i said something :).. but i guess it's one of those things that just grows on ya..

Don't mean to be rude, but I do think I know my old board a bit better than you. And...I wasn't talking about iB3, but iB2. I'm talking 8 months ago, when the board was much smaller.

I trust you that vB can handle any hack that's written correctly. That makes sense, doesn't it?

Last part, we haven't had to ban a member for months due to good moderators. It's not about banning, it's about handling it well.

This is too awesome, vBulletin remembers which threads have been viewed, even if I move to another computer. It must save the data to my profile instead of a cookie on my HD!!
