Can Perfect Dark run faster?

Is there any way ot get Perfect Dark to run smooth? For me it runs around 30 FPS (or around 10 if I use the IR-Scanner). Is this game a generally a problem for everyone? Is there anything I can do besides get a better processor (mine is a 1.0 Athlon, I'm assuming a better one would help)?

Provided you have a fast enough processor, this game is not a problem. The only really way of getting a better speed would be an overclock or a new CPU. In the meantime, play the game in 1964 with Jabo's video plugin, one of Azimer's audio plugins with the 1964 fix enabled with no RSP selected, no AA/AF, in 640x480 fullscreen. This config should help.
