every time i open diddy kong racing on PJ64 it says cracked on the top. what does this mean?

Possibly one of the many fixed [f] roms floating around? Scan it with GoodN64.

DKR used to be difficult to run because of its copy protection on old emulators like Ultrahle, as a result the game was literally hacked to make it run... fortunatly though you don't need a cracked version anymore so the proper version is prefered.
