Recent PC's FPS Preferences

I'm planning to get a FPS in the future, and I'm confused with all those new games arouund. So I need your opinions, please vote, and tell why you voted, the possible pros and the cons of the games listed, comments, and your experience with some of this games with your current rig, etc. I respect all your oponions, so please make this a "peaceful thread" just for comparison. Mods are welcome to add more options to the poll

I hear Battlefield 2 is very good, but I can't say I liked the version of Halo on PC. But yeah, I'd suggest UT2004 as well.

Half Life 2, There's no denying how awesome that game is :P

Half Life 2 - very impressed with that game, and the engine ran superbly. Can't say the same about the tripe that was Doom 3; nice looking (though incredibly samey and repetitive), ran 'ok', just as boring as can be.

Half-Life 2 is your best bet. I had Battlefield 2 for about a week before I traded it in for Katamari Damacy. BF2 has a hideous engine, and I honestly don't see what's so fun about it. But I would also recommend UT2004.

UT2004 is my favourite PC FPS by a long way.

Half-Life 2, no question. Haven't tested BF 2 yet though, but the other ones I have.
