When I go to full screen I find that I cannot exit it. I can push ctrl+alt+delete and it comes up but I cannot access it and the game continues to run. Even if I am able to tell the comp to end the program it still runs and never stops. I have to hard reset my machine. I started having this problem a couple of days ago. I don't know what's wrong. It exits fine while in windowed mode. It does this with every game. In fact I think it started doing this when I started using my gamepad. Do you guys think that there is a way that this is causing it? It is REAL annoying. If you guys know a way to make it stop doing this I'd LOVE to do this!

Tried pressing F4? or Alt + F4 or Alt +Tab

Try removing the gamepad see if that is the cause. If so work arounds can be done I'm sure.

Oh and instead of hard resetting, try putting the computer into standby mode, then press the power button to bring it out. The focus should now be on the desktop enabling you to try and end the process properly.

Yeah I tried pressing alt+f4 and alt-tab but they didn't work. Removing the gamepad from the equation was the first thing I tried... it still messed up. It only started doing this when I started using the gamepad... this is why I made that connection.

hmm... yeah stand-by should do the trick seeing as how the os loads to memory first leaving everything else as secondary but it would be bothersome doing that every time.

I hope this can be figured out.

BTW: I have similar problems in PJ64 but it wont even exit windowed mode unless I tel the comp to end program many times... GRR! What an annoyance!

Your video card is really bad like my Radeon IGP 345M...what you need to do is probably update your drivers. I know that the ones that came with mine caused it to have low FPS results and I wouldn't be able to get out of fullscreen either. But then I updated to the latest Catalyst drivers and it helped increase FPS and I would be able to get out of fullscreen with either Alt-Enter or Alt-f4.

My drivers are up to date... if it were that simple I wouldn't have started this thread. :D

EDIT: I'm finding that the ESC key works in some instances but not others.

And yeah I know my Gcard sux... but it is just so hard to update a laptop. I think I'm just gonna go out and buy a desktop. E machine maybe?

yes, mine does the same thing. it works most of the time if i alt enter it out, but if i have already killed the emulator by alt-f4... its reset time again....
