Md that is awesome, jesus, it's exactly like the original, only higher res. Incredible :D.

I'm honored to be able to be using your work, keep it up. The release is coming alon great, get ready people, the new pack is going over 20MB :D.

I have some difficulty to understand what you want exactly...

If it's items text in french and german, you can find them in the pack a have already post :

The text at the top of the item screens and quest status screens, The hearts block the word, so i cant tell what the screens are called in the other languages. If someone can tell me the names at the top of the french and german screens, I can finish the quest status screens.

Those hearts are already retextured :D.

Do i don't know how they look ingame :P. Perhaps mdtauk wanted the text that appears when you have 1/4, 1/2, and 2/3 of a heart.

- All Dialogue text incl accent letters, as well as numerals and rupee numerals

- Location Names all redone and finished / border adjusted to match original

in french, I have for :
- 1/4 : Quart de coeur
- 1/2 : Quart de coeur
- 3/4 : Quart de coeur

in german, I have for :
- 1/4 : Herzteil
- 1/2 : Herzteil
- 3/4 : Herzteil

I'm not sure mdtauk wanted that because it's present in the pack dump language...

I got a problem.
I wanted to modify some Paper Mario's texture,but when I put the two .dll files into my Plugin folder,an error appeared saying :

bmglib.dll cannot be found

And the message doesn't stop to popups,so I need to close my Emulator.

So where can I get that bmglib.dll ?

Read the readme file that came with the plugin. It should be in the plugin folder. Take it from there, and paste it into the emulator's main folder.

Yes I know,I downloaded a Zelda texture pack.
Then in the "Read This" file,there was an url to the two .dll file.
When I unziped it,there was only two .dll file and not any bmglib.dll file.

Well the pack that I downloaded only has : RiceVideo.dll and RiceVideoDbg.dll

But not any bmglib.dll .

No I had that error too, I think I deleted RiceVideoDbg.dll and it worked. Backup incase I'm wrong.

There is something about the Bazzar sign that I cant quit put my finger on, I love the Stone wind mill texture even though it isnt like the orignal..

0.12 is a old version, the most recent is 0.19 (and in some days 0.20 :P )
(when speak about Beta 10, it's the Rice plugin...)

And I am totally aware the windmill texture is not like the other, I didn't even make that, I just grabbed it from Dijpi's dark Lon Lon ranch. I can try to make one that's more faithful to the game, but that current one is growing on me. Here's some more stuff though.

There is those old beta version of Zelda 64 (the first pictures of Zelda),would it be possible to replace the textures by those old version texture?

For Death Mountain I found an image on google that was gigantic resolution. In fact what I have as Death Mountain is just like a side of the image I used, not the full mountain, it was a really big picture and I wanted to squeeze as much detail as I could out of it.

EDIT: As far as the old beta of Zelda goes, no, it is not possible. First off, look at the screens, the things that do have texture have horrible shitty textures. Second, there is no rip of these, I wouldn't even call them betas, more like alphas. I doubt the code was even written to cart (if it was it's probably somewhere on a shelf in a Nintendo archive or in a box in some coders house).

As far as I know, not really. Modifications to the models has not really been achieved yet, and may never really be (like you would see with a PC game). At the moment all that is possible is to change the textures Link uses and play with that.

For the crates and tree I used free-to-use textures that weren't created by me, but they both match the style of the game exactly.

Now if you notice the tree looks like crap, well it does in the game too, and I don't think I'm going to pump out anything better than what is there so if anyone would like to try the green part of it.

Thanks for the German text, to make things easier for me, I have redrawn the OoT HUD font, making a few changes to make it look more like a proper font, and I have actually turned it into a font, so I can just type out the words, adjust and save, rather than piecing the words together letter by letter. If there are any good font designers out there interested in making the other fonts from OoT and TWW, get in touch and I can send you the vector letter shapes.

ok, i have done a batch file to easy rename (place it in "mdta action text" folder with "English - Text", "French - Text" and "German - Text" folders and double clique (after remove the .txt extension)

BTW :
1) the Stop in german is a duplicate of the english one (auto-removed)

2) the Öffen must be Öffnen (to rename this after correction, read end of the batch file ;) )

3) the Ablegen (in the dump pack) is forgotten ( THE LEGEND OF ZELDA#6A1A9828#3#0_all.png )

EDIT : They have 2 "Put Away" I rename the old style "old THE LEG..."

fed, they have a small problem with side face of the chest textures (in the "world" folder) it's name "_all" but no have alpha channel, I add a alpha channel and now it' ok :)

one (very) small fix fed, the "alt" HUD button ( alt THE LEGEND OF ZELDA#E97A876F#3#1_all.png.png ) have 2 ".png" extension, can be good to remove one...

it's not a dump name problem, it's simply a resolution problem :
current : 128*34
must be : 128*32

must be less height, but if you cut, you cut on the font, best way is if mdtauk can redo littlely smaller (with the good size)

Letters , tiles , places remake ok, but i would like to know if in this futur new pack , we hope to see many news textures?
We only see works on text , but no really wip texture.

And we see many people retex . Federelli , have you make something than we can see or it's a pack surprise?

Now let me explain both here and in the Djipi thread, how I am going to finish all these text tiles.

I am getting bogged down and complicating things for myself. I am going to work on one at a time for now on, and Federelli's pack comes first.

Fed I have found the exact font used for the Menus in OoT. Here are all the fonts I have found, with what they are used for and what they are called...

LeiSho
Used for the Locations in Twilight Princess, not used in OoT or TWW

Kokinedo - Extra Bold
Used for the Boss Names in OoT, not used in TWW or TP

RocknRoll - Bold
Used for the Dialogue in TWW, not used in OoT or TP (this was the font I thought was used for the menu in OoT before Federelli)

Chiaro - Bold
Used for the Dialogue, Item Names, Locations in OoT, not used in TWW or TP

Rodin - Various Weights
Used for the dialogue in TP and used for the Menus in OoT, not used in TWW

These arent full fonts, just individual letters. I am having to piece words together letter by letter which is why it takes so long.

My Timetable
I am setting up new folders on the computer, moving completed work into the new folders, then working on Fed's tiles.

Once I am finished with Fed's work, I will go on to work on Djipi's text tiles and screens.

I will start a new thread with all of my finished work in it. I will do Ocarina of Time Style Text and Menus, The Wind Waker Style Text and Menus, and finally I will make Twilight Princess Style Text and Menus, for anyone to use if they want to work on a Twilight Princess Texture Pack, high res, realistic not keeping to the original style...

Constantly working on two sets at the same time is doing my head in, and I need a fresh start to focus my work, so I will post in a new thread, so I dont get confused...

i want to see if the map texture can be modified to look more real like in the zelda beta version (pre-released) also i´m working on dumps from a, b and c-buttons to change them on photoshop but i´m new modifyng textures so i need help.

The connector thingy in the Main Menu, beetween "file 1" and where your name is shown.
The back of where your name is displayed, right of "file 1" texture
The normal button glow.
The arrow button glow.
The End button glow.
The End button in German.
The End button in French.

That's all so far, thanks in advanced :D

Guys anyway, i'll tell you what, this is really a mess. So we'll have to start to organize.

First we'll concentrate on Menu Graphics, as in, background and buttons. First English, then French, then German. Nothing can be left out.
Second we'll concentrate on the Options Menu, First in English, then French, then German, and then for Master Quest. Nothing can be left out.
Third and last, we'll concentrate on Ingame graphics such as Sub-Screen graphics and text, but please, let us first organize the Menu, since i've got a mess of .pngs and .7z and whatever :P.
So Zeytok and Mdtauk, first of first things, dumps of all menu graphics, and retexture of the same things :).

This will be an awesome release :D.

Md, if you happen to read this, try doing the following so we stay truer to the original:

1-Make the turn in the right edges of the buttons a bit bigger.
2-Make the text in each button fit exactly where the older text was, it seems a little cramped now.
3-Round up the connector

Could you redump all the text from the menu (except the options menu) in the 3 languages, I think I have lost some tiles...

I may have to make a fresh start with this, as the low res version looks slightly different. As the text is now highres, it looks thinner and closer together, I did this because you dont need such loose spacing in high res...

Now I have seen the text in use, I am doing the english text and buttons again, to make it look neater and not so cramped, I wont follow the text perfectly, because I am improving on some aspects. I am using a bold font for the headings, not mixing between bold and demi, like the originals, and I am maintaining the same heights for the languages and versions, so it looks neater than the original...

and the 3 others is composed (vertically) by textures sized 160*8 (the biggest used 3 textures --> 160*24 (*4 = 640*96)

the last is the glow : 48*48 (*4 = 192*192)

where you see 640 * 4 ... ?

I agree, the Temple of Time seems very dark and the textures seem dramatically 3D. The Ganon's Castle and Kokiri look very good.

Yes, it can be fixed with newer textures. Although, I believe there are many different combinations, since the picture change every time you equip different things. Not to mention, whether you have young or old Link.

From memory, so this could be wrong, there are four poses: Young with Kokiri Sword, Young with Master, Old with Master, Old with Big. Then the shields, tunic color, and boots change according to what's selected.

It might be best to turn any anti-aliasing you have off. Make the bg link is in bright pink, then have him stand still for a little and he does a quick sword play move. If you can get the camera right in front of him as he does it, take a screen shot, then remove the pink in PS, you could probably work from that pretty well.

little question fed, do you know what is a CRC ?
simplified answers : it's a hash... that signified CRC is all time the same when it's compute on the same data => (totally) same graphics -> same CRC.

do you ok ? or you need that I explain more ?

There's a couple of small issues:
Most German and French text isn't done yet.
French and German buttons in the Main Menu need to be redone, they will be eventually.
Some new textures in the Temple of Time aren't loading, perhaps Zeytok could provide proper names for them later.
The bow and arrow also isn't appearing, same thing with the B&W slingshot.

Ok, enjoy it everyone, and sorry for the long wait.
Use 7-Zip to unzip the file.

I hate to be a stickler, but I think that the symbol or whatever it is on the side of the stairs look really repetative.

Awsome work guys, I just got finished adding my stuff into the folder too. Right now I'm finishing up the 6 medallion rooms, so hopefully I can start spitting out more since I haven't for quite a while...so again, awsome work guys!

Does anyone want to take over the Kakariko Village for me?

I started working on it, then lost all my photoshop files in a harddrive crash, and now all I have left is the compressed files. Some are fine to use, others need to be fixed up, but you can use them as bases. I don't have time to do anymore work on it at the moment.

1) apparently, white hearts have a problem, look like darked where it must be lighted and when the empty heart look like red if i have a white background...

There's a small mistake in one of the German textures. (I attached it in this post).
The word "worhanden" has to be "vorhanden", a v instead of a w ;)

Yeah, that's all for now.

EDIT: Found something again (also attached).
In the language selection menu there's the German sentence "Wähle deine Sprache". The images say "Whäle deine Sprache". I guess you get it, what I mean ;)

Well it seems that for the sub screen issues we'll need MD since some will have to be renamed, apparently textures are shared in the select-item subscreen and the save subscreen. Meaning the select-item subscreen will need to be edited.

Zey, you messed Market, Zora's Domain in your batch :). It's fixed now, thanks again.
And i think my hearts look better, what's wrong with them, i didn't understand you.
And i told you about the logo, the shield was too dark.

I've re-textured the majority of Hyrule Castle. I need to flip a texture because it's displayed backwards, and the windows need updates, but other than that..here is Hyrule Castle Courtyard. Let me know if anyone would like the set..

No opinion for me? On another note, someone suggested to me that we should try and make the hearts retro, like oldschool Zelda. I'm not the one doing hearts, so I know I can't just make the decision on my own. However, I have fixed everything regarding Hyrule Castle, and I would like to have an opinion. Federelli, I think most of the textures your originally released are in this pack, although I slightly altered a few. What you see that isn't his, is mine. I know I have an alpha issue with the Castle Courtyards flowers :\ I couldn't seem to resolve that problem for some reason.

This time I'm workin on LonLon Ranch, which is rather difficult because of a single wood texture that is applied damn near everywhere. My texture doesn't exactly look good on everything.. However, as plainly obvious, this is a picture of my current progress with LonLon Ranch. I re-textured Malon's hair to be finer and look overall better. My Link has brown hair :P I'm dying for oldschool Zelda. I still have to fix the top corner of the Ranch house, I had a board issue, but it's not too problematic. I realize that the grass seems a bit green, that's because I have the same map applied to both grass textures. I will toy with this later to see what results I get.

By the by, is someone still working on Sky cubes? I had a go at Hyrule Castle sky globe and failed horribly. Hyrule's looking great in hi res with a nice blurry sky :]

first af all my congraturations for the exellent work done so far,if I had any exuse to not play the game on more time trough, now they are all gone !!
However I got a few issues with the menu screen.

That has nothing to do with textures, it's a computer/rom thing. Almost everybody has that problem with this game...or at least everyone I've talked to.

I love the pics its look s awsome but when I download it, it completes at 2 or 4 MB insted of the full 20mb Im useing DSL on Aol 8.0 browser I shall try Firefox now. and by the way q_armand your emulator migh be corupt try redownloading it and reinstalling it. I had that problem with pJ64.

That's a problem with the framebuffer emulation of rice's plugin. If you want to use hires/cel-textures you must play with the options to get better results (which are also not brilliant), live with those problems or try gln64, my favourite n64-gfx-plugin written by orkin, which has no support for enhanced textures atm, but orkin is working on it...

I take back what I said, if I can get all the textures as all.png (for some reason I only get the 8-bit dumps with all the textures) I will not only continue Kakariko Village, but finish it and have it looking awesome.

Yes I have it, but when I dump the textures I get some that are only extracted as the 8-bit BMP with indexed colors. For example the ones that are in the zip of Kakariko village. If I had the uncompressed png of them I wouldn't have saved them like that, but I don't get them when I dump.

Now im confused I put the too DLL files from rices video plug in the System 32 windows folder plus the PJ64 plugin folder, and I put the BMGLib in with them. Then I set the video plugin to rice 10. When I load pJ64 rices video plugin comes up But I dont see a place to set the directory for the textures or any place it says in the Text file that came with your file. So I went to the Setting tab under options now it says unable to find Msvcp71dll, unable to load ricesvideoplugin.dll what should I do. Can someone explain this more too me I kind of new to this sorry.

Perhaps I should quit since nobody seems to be very supportive, feels more like I'm being ignored :| Anyway, here is Lake Hylia, took me all day to find the proper textures and re-do them. Overall, I'm happier with the way Lake Hylia turned out in comparison to LonLon Ranch. The Lake hasn't ever looked as peaceful and pristine.. even the intrusion of a Tektite or a Sea Octorock can't disrupt the lakes beauty.. Anyway, someone please let me know what they think based on the images.

Dave, here is a dump of all of Kakariko's textures. I had to include bmp's as well, because most of the house textures were only as bmp's. So the ones I have are PNG's with Alpha, and ci_bmp, so if you have to edit an alpha channel for something, you can. All textures are named properly for instant editing and usage. I look forward to your release.
