Are there any plugins or emulators that will allow this game to run properly? On p64 the outdoor environments move at a snail's pace while on other emulators the game hangs at doors. I've tried nearly every plugin I could find and it still does the same things. Is it completely hopeless?

Others will come along eventually and make plugins for PJ64; Azimer is working on one as a matter of fact. Plus there are other emulators (Nemu, and who knows what else). The key word though is patience.
