Maybe, but it would be extremly slow. You should really get a new one.

Link the Hero: but those are the graphics? or is just Four Swords Advetures work bad? how I can run gamecube games with a S3 Prosavage DDR? I think that I need a better one.....like a GeForce 5300

no it is the graphics and a geforce 5300 is not a good card you should get a radeon 9500 or higher or a geforce 6800

ok......but in the Dolphin's Help say that a Geforce 5300 should work...

Any card that has Pixel Shaders 2.0 or above will be enough to display everything as it should. So far it seems Radeons are faster with Dolphin (in games like Bust-a-Move especially), but there is no IQ difference.

It depends on what you consider 'running games' is. With a Savage, there will be massive glitches everywhere, but it may boot. Accurate graphics can only be had with a graphics card that meets the recommended requirements.

Maybe a problem with your video card drivers or you have a problem with codecs.
Try instal the last version of your video card.

Both those games don't go ingame in the current release anyway. The Radeon 7000 is still below the minimum specs for Dolphin..... rtfm

you need 2 download the driver 66.94.28 not 66.94.25. This driver made my prosavageddr play the gamecube games

ahhhh thanks.......and what is your opinon of the graphic cards that I mentioned before (the prices)....that video cards are ok?: a GeForce Mx-4000 ($250 argentine monetary-pesos-like U$s80dollars) or a GeForce FX 5500 ($280- like 85dollars)
LinkTheHero
February 2nd, 2005, 18:52
a GeForce FX 5500
Clements
February 2nd, 2005, 18:53
Out of those two, only the FX 5500 would display the graphics correctly. I would not upgrade solely to get Dolphin looking right, since it will be unplayable not matter what you do. However, the card would be useful for other stuff, since a Savage is not suited to gaming.

Thanks Moderator.....you said that with a GeForce FX 5500 is unplayable.....why? In the requirements says that with a Geforce FX 5200 is good...

The graphics card will make it look nice - however the speed will still be too low to be playable. Think of a pretty slideshow :)

if you get 3fps with your savage, you will get 3.1 to 3.3 with your 5500. It mainly depends on your CPU.
ArgJuli

ahhh ok.....and what card I need to play games correctly and with a good speed?

Do you not understand? NOTHING can enable you to play games properly.
The emulator is not finished. It simply can't emulate everything, So the games don't work. Simple as that.

You're blowing your money on all the wrong things. Skip the PC parts and buy a Gamecube instead.

Fine, but you still won't be able to play GC games.
