Hi

I tested Super Monkey Ball 2 game in Dolphin and... something crazy has happened

Game Starts OK, without any problems we can pass all the menus... "play" screen starts... I see: World 1 ... ~Simple ... I see all the stage in so good graphics without many glitches...

...Start... the ball is going down... and... FALL OUT! ... when the ball "touched the stage (ground)" , it is... far from the stage... and falling down...

Anyone know how to pass and fix it? Maybe bad SMB2 Image GCM?

In addiction , in the ball it isn't any monkey... error of the graphics plugin/soirce code I think... Menu has played in about 10-14 FPS, Game in 10-12FPS.

It's not the GCM, it's that Dolphin's dynarec is fairly buggy. :P

No it's not the dynarec, not even the interpreter emulates the FPU accurately enough for the super monkey ball games.. they use and abuse a lot of little quirks of the PowerPC fpu that would be extremely expensive (in terms of speed) to emulate properly..

Hm... is it possible to emulate Super Monkey Ball 2 game in the future ? Months..? one year? much more...? how do you think?

greetings and thanks for answers:)

More than likely, but at a guess I'd say it would be at least 3 years before it gets anywhere close to being playable (speed wise) ............

Of course it's possible with a LOT of work, but you'd probably be better off waiting for CXBX to run Super Monkey Ball Deluxe which is coming out for the XBox in a couple of months, including both monkey ball games plus some new levels..
