it basically still requires u opening up ur ps2, but u dont need to solder any wires, already making it better than the usbmod which requires one wire. it only works on v5 ps2's, but can be made to work on other versions (a bit tricky here). anyway if ur ps2 model is 3000x R (the x = varying numbers, eg. 30003 R <-- the R is essential) then u can install this chip in apparently 15mins without a problem. it involves removing 2 ribbons at one end, and placing the ribbon ends into the chip, and then placing the chip end into where the ribbon ends went. sounds a bit confusing, well check out here...

it isnt fake, as ppl hav tried it, and it can play every type of media, but requires a game shark or action replay 2. still, im definitely thinking of getting it, ive got so many psx backups and a few imports, plus u can often pick up imports cheaper than the no-import version if the game has been out for a long time. wat do u ppl think.
