Graphic Errors in known good roms

I'm seeing a few graphic errors in some games.

Donald duck and doom64, for eg, both good, both shown in PJ64 as compatible.

Any ideas? (I've tried playing with the gpu plugin settings..)

Doom is a rare problem between Jabos plugin and a Radeon graphics card. Can't remember if there was a fix for that one.

Direct64 should work fine for you on this.

Direct64 does work perfectly on this game, BUT the display is now WAAAY to dark to see anything except looking at lights directly.

D64 does not do this in other games, eg SMario 64.

Doom64 got scathing criticsm from many games magazines for being abnormally dark. These reviewers had to:

Max out game brightness (in the options)
Turn the TV brightness up

Needless to say, they were not pleased by it.

Try Glide64 see if that is any better.

Only Jabo's plugin seems to have the game brightly lit, all the other plugins that emulate the game are dark. I don't think that the game was susposed to be as bright as Jabo's.

Clements: Thanks for the explanation!

It's a pity Jabo's won't render it properly. I was hoping someone might know of some obscure "emulate clear" type setting (or a cheaty type code like laughy's Pilotwings code (which is brilliant!!!!)).

Oh well, not a problem (I have doom and doom2 on PC playing with doomsday (full Dx9 shader rendered with aniso and AA!).

Thanks again, and thanks to the other guys too!
