When is the first cut scene supposed to appear? I've played through a bunch of it and it the intro is the only one I've seen.

Well looking at the movie directory I would say yes.. :)

There seems to be 4 movies in there that I can see. But that's for the entire game. I think one for the opening one for the end and maybe two between. Not like most square soft ones that are littered with them :)

But doesn't chrono trigger have multiple endings? Different movie for each ending?

Yes it does, You can view the movies depending on the ending you get.. it looks to be that there are at least 12 movies from reviewing the area where you can watch different movies. As for how to view the different endings. Apparently you have to complete the game to open them up. I suggest downloading a save game that has all of them and using that.
