I opened my gcm game and it says "Direct 3D Device Creation Failed", and Dolphin Teaser crashed. I tried to find something about "Device Failed" in the forum, and I tried changing my desktop to 16bit colours, but it didn't work  .......
My video card is S3 Prosavage DDR(32MB video Ram,open GL supported).
Direct 9.0b.
The game is naruto2.
CPU is Intel P4 2.4 GHz.
Ram is 224MB DDR.
OS is WinXP SP1.
Thx for your time

But.....why did Teaser crashed??

My computer is just like a laptop.....cannot upgrade...... T-T
Well......I'll just try more......(sigh)

it either is a laptop or it is upgradable ... it would be hard to convince me that you can't take that 2.4Ghz CPU out of the motherboard and disconnect the Hard Drive (and so on, and so on). perhaps the Motherboard has no AGP slot ... then get a motherboard and video card.

My computer is a laptop-based desktop....
Think about a large-sized laptop then you can understand...
No AGP slot, case not openable(so I can't take it apart), SCSI.......
So whatever I buy, I can't install it onto my motherboard....T-T
But I still don't want to give up Dolphin, so I come to ask if there is some other way to make it workable......orz

Forget it. You're never going to run Dolphin (or any GC emulator I'd imagine) on an S3.

U can run Dolphin Teaser, just need to download the latest version of the driver for S3....I'm using the same graphics card....though I'm lacking a 3d accel. (Radeon/GeForce)

Really??
I'll go try it.^^ THX~!
I say, I can play DOOM3, Quake3 and Jedi Academy with S3 Prosavage DDR, there is no reason I can't use dolphin^^.
These games are good and big 3D games!!
I played them with S3's OpenGL, and it worked good~!

Not sure that a savage can run doom3 (well anyway) but considering that the emulator is unoptimised, it is going to need a lot to run at any kind of speed..
e.g. The Alpha of Doom3 required a stupidly powerful gfx card that wasn't released when they showed it at a trade show.

The GFX would look bad even if you would manage to get it to work ;)

Yeah, you really need to use a desktop for best results....and S3 isn't going to do much anyways......need I remind you of this picture....?

motherboard BIOS/drivers update? WinXP SP2? DirectX 9.0c? Got Adware/Spyware? what does your task manager say your "Peak" on your performance ... something else could be running and taking up lots of RAM ... lots of ideas.

yes Doom III on S3 is posible but only via OpenGL. Dolphin uses Directx wich isn't optimized for non AGP drivers

Youi know, you could just play Ocarina of Time - Master Quest in 1964 or Project64. It's the same game after all.

actually, you need to extract it from the iso first, but it will work on project 64. Use a program like GC tool.
