Planet Half-Life has confirmed that it was really Gabe Newell who posted this. Anyone think that this Release Candidate will go gold?

I'm feeling iffy. Wouldn't be surprised if it *still* wasn't released 'till, at minimum, November (my guess). Though I'm definately not holding my breath for even getting it *that* early. :)

its been confirmed on gamespot, doug himself said that its been sent, and so has the rc's of half life source and counterstrike source.

Ive heard now that they submitted the 5th RC of half life 2 to vivendi late last week! it was because that there were sum nasty bugs and valve fixed them. Hopefully it should go gold soon.

Just read the review in PCGamer. Got 98%. So now I REALLY can't wait for it to be released. :D
