Because you are not using daemon tools v3.29 and maybe because you are not using the europian bios too.

it worked for me when i was using winxp with daemon tools v3.43, have not tried it on win2k yet. most likely its the bios but try what was suggested by the previous user.

The well known IO prob... disable all drive changing progz like anydvd, use deamon tools 3.29 and use a not corrupted pal bios!
