Cool, but it goes too slow, isn't it? Which are your computer specs?

Hey... Didn't you need a Comp with SSE?
But a Barton didn't have SSE, does it?
That would mean: for the Linux Version you didn't need SSE.

Barton core's just have a larger L2 cache.
All still have SSE as far as I know.
Strange

ALL AthlonXPs have SSE support... BTW Barton is the newest AthlonXP core.
Hmm - in Linux with windows emu Chanka is really slow...

Every processor since the Pentium 3 time have SSE support, both AMD and Intel.

Johann not correct. Only Athlon XP's, 64Bits and one T-Bred (1.5ghz rather rare) are SSE capable.

I thought AMD has it since the 1,4GHz and +xp cpu's

No.. the Athlon XP Palomino has SSE aswell, but the Athlon Thunderbirds (stopped at 1.4GHz) do not.
CPUs and their respective cores that support SSE:
Pentium III: katmai, coppermine, tualatin (SSE)
Celeron: coppermine, tualatin (SSE), williamette, northwood (SSE, SSE2), prescott (SSE, SSE2, SSE3)
Pentium 4: williamette, northwood (SSE, SSE2), prescott (SSE, SSE2, SSE3)
Athlon XP: palomino, tbred, barton (SSE)
Athlon 64, FX (SSE, SSE2)
Duron: morgan, applebred (SSE)

Only first Athlons don't have SSE. Everything x87 above 1.44Ghz have SSE.
I have Duron Applebread 1.4@1.95Ghz and it support greate SSE. My games work at about 35-55 FPS.
Athlon64 have SSE2 instructions.

Simply to say what all XP Athlons have SSE...

back to the topic...
i could not get it to boot any games, it shows the same behaviour that 0.2 showed in win2k - it just reads the audio portion of the disc.
and since i can't install an aspi layer, i can't test the other cdrom plugin.
Strange

Don`t think what you can make emu load CD in Linux...

I've already tried to start it under Linux Debian SID Kernel 2.6.7 on an AthlonXP 2400+@ 2000Mhz bus 400MhZ , and the emulator starts , but it is VEEEEERY slow , and I cannot run the games , it doesn't find the disk game .
I've tried with "mount -o loop" (I hadn't very much hopes for this one) , and then with a burned CD-RW , but also the CD-RW didn't work , maybe some problems with the ASPI drivers .
Anyway I hope for a native version of Chankast for Linux someday :)

it reads the disc as audio cd, i'm sure it's a "problem" with the cdrom plugin.

Or in the future play Tekken3, or Nes emulator on Chanka running Bleemcast :)

yeah..that's what he was talking about. nesterdc is an nes emulator for dc.
reminds me of howyou have to run a linux version of epsxe under a linux emulator for xbox to get decent psx emulation..well not that much better than the existing psx emulator(i was thinking compatibility)
