While playing Goldeneye 007 full screen one day, while the emulation was stable, I discovered that I couldn't exit 1964 at all!!! Thus I was forced to do a hard reboot, push the reset button just to exit 1964!!!
Apperently, 1964 is stealing focus and thus was unable to close 1964 :(.

Alt F4 not work? Putting the machine into forced standby and then waking it never worked either I take it?
The latter is a lifesaver I've found, as long as Windows 98 will allow you to do it, which is kinda hit and miss - ie reset on restore from suspension.

Because I start to lose FPS with Windows XP and Windows 2000, I'm not reinstalling Windows XP nor Windows 2000 until I get my processor upgrade.

1964 never closes for me on the first try and I have XP. After clicking the X to close the window or choosing the menu option it freezes. I have to then go to the taskbar, right-click the 1964 button and select close. Only then will it close. In short I have to close 1964 twice before it actually closes. However 1964 otherwise works fine which is why I've never complained about it- just a minor annoyance is all.

same here, Goldeneye + winXP, I have hard trouble going/exiting full screen and stop playing..... it doesn't seem to do that in the other games (even if I didn't played any other games for a while)
