I have a "friend" see....and he ripped from a certain file, a file called naruto taisen 2.gcm...a file under Movies...with a *.h4m extension

now he would like to know if u guys would know wat decoder method he could use to play this file...my friend of course^^

and also for any other video file found in such .GCM files...

of course this friend is a friend at the third degree to my cousin to a friend of a duck of mine...(wtf?)

thx! (on my friends bhalf of course...^^)

oh and wat this file may plray tell b called...^^'

First of all, say it's YOU if it is. I don't think asking this will get you banned, but asking for GCM's/ISO's will.

its a joke man...a joke...put ur trousers back on...

also i ran it through some codec verification progs...it wa srecognised (video atleast) as a form of mpeg1.

though i cant run it through any mpeg1 players ive tried so far...

oh man thx groupz...i found some interesting thigs from the headers^^

though this post still stands till i figure out how to play these godamn videos...

heres wat the first header in positions 0 1 2 an 3...ifitll help anyone...

also searching for a form of mpg didnt turn up any results...

I doubt that there is any actuall code behind that, there would be no pourpose for that on a gc game especially with the increasing chance of data coruption by adding more pointless material onto a dvd disc. Nearly all companies will try to leave pointless and code off of their disc.
As for what it is. Well it has M4 in it, so chance are that is is MPEG4, and the player probably means player. So chances are that it is a MPEG4 player to play the video files in the game.

could the codec or player most probably be loaded from the DOL file?

becaus eif thats the case do you think it would b possible to extrcat it?

also the MPEG thing fom b4 i am not at all sure about anymore...
