I download KoF Evo from the newsgroup, it was in 13 parts numbered .001 to .013. The par file showed all parts were good so I joined them together with HJSplit, no trouble, then renamed the full 241MB file to .cdi (the .nfo said it was a CDI Juggler) but Daemon Tools (3.46, latest version) said it wasn't a valid image.

Anyone else had this? Should I try something else to join the parts together? Or is just a duff upload?

Flanf? I don't but on two occasions that I've called him that he's told me to grow up! LOL So just guestimation really. It would seem to be his way to come back with a tag reading "Damn Warez Kiddie" seeing as that is the kinda person who we were all bitching abt back then. I even think it may be copied from one of the other guys posts.

Who knows? My guess is its PIMP or Flanf. It could be neither and it could be both.

He didnt break any rules. He didnt post a link to anything, or request anything. He's just asking how to open files that he downloaded. And because of that, no one will really want to help him.

i don't think it's because of that... it's not his first post here, so he should know the answer for his problem... we've already spoke about that... and i think he know the answer, or he would'nt specified he use DT 3.46...

Dont join the files with HJSplit, open the first one (.001) with WinRAR, it will automatically join the files and decompress the image, then you can just select it in the list on screen and extract it to a folder (it will already be a cdi with the correct filename ;) )

@phantomflanf: yo man, use the google search thingy at the top of the forum. search emutalk.net with it and you'll find a good answer :P and a lot of discussion on it.

Thanks Phreaky. I tried WinRar first, but it didn't work. But because you said it should, I found out my version was old. I've upgraded now and extracted the game.

A useful reply didn't hurt, did it? And I and no-one you have ever heard of. "Damn Warez Kiddie" is a good description of most of the people who post here, as you well know. I am just more honest than they.
