i have tried everything but i can`t get chankast to work!!!




my system specs are:
amd athlon xp
s3 prosavege ddr (works with t&l)
unknown sound card

of course i have the bios i can run the bios but not games

it goes to the dreamcast logo and shows the grey screen the report the error box comes up

what game? ... thats the excact thing that happens when i try to run Gauntlet Ledgons (sp?) where both Soulcaliber and Virtual Fighter work fine.

the game is ikaruga and i don`t have anything from adaptec

ok, so the problems who can happen at this point are :
- a bad bios dump
- you are under specs
- drivers are not updated
- the use of a virtual drive with win2k

At this point, we still don't have enough information from you. What does the error say?
If we have to analyze this computer specs-wise, I would have to say that your
"s3 prosavege ddr" might possibly be the problem.

i also have a s3 prosavage ddr, chipset in my laptop. Chankast runs the bios beautifully at around 50/60fps, but as soon as it tries to run an 'iso whether a physical disc or an emulated drive(daemon tools or alcohol120) then it runs the dreamcast logo intro and then crashes. Personally I think it might be a bug in the cdrom.dll ? Could that be a feasible answer to the problem ?
