Why do you need such large VMUs? If you need more space to save games, just use another VMU. Copy your file to a back-up folder, or rename it, and format a new one, that you can use as your second VMU, and so on.

seems that larger vmu are not compatible because :
- if you try to create an empty file of 256ko instead of 128ko (non formated vmu) , when chankast formats the vmu it becomes an 128ko
- if you tried to add data before "the written data at the end meaning it's formated" (formated vmu), the vmu is no more formated

So you can't have a larger memory even if it could be great, why not allowing people to make memory cards of sizes they want ( so that they could save all dreamcast games on 1 VMU :icecream:  )
well, i'm dreaming too much

yes you're right, i have one, but the fact you don't know is i have to swith between 2 different space of 300 blocks on it... there is a switch on the vmu card...
