I'm having trouble getting Zelda Majora's Mask to run on PJ64. As soon as I launch it, PJ64 freezes. OoT runs just fine though, and MM does run on 1964 on my system. I've tried screwing around with every setting there is but to no avail...

I have an Athlon XP processor, am running Windows XP pro, have a Radeon 7500 video card, and have 256 MB memory.

I am using PJ64 1.40, using Jabo's D3D 7 1.40 gfx plugins, Jabos DirectSound sound plugin 1.40, and using N-Rage's Direct-Input8 1.61 input plugin. I am using a recompiler type CPU core, but have tried Interpreter.

My current settings on my graphics plugin are

Rendering Device: D3D T&L HAL
Resolution: 640x480x32
Buffer display type: Transfer memory
Sort independent anti-aliasing and anisotropic filter are on
RSP code simulation is set to RSP SW 2.0X
Geometry transfers are set to automatic
Texture format is 16 and 32bpp
Fog and display list culling are enabled
And on the advanced tab Frame buffer emulation is set to "set buffers black".

I have tried screwing around with all these settings to see if I could magically get it to work, but it just wont work. Anyone have any ideas?

On another note, I have no idea what a lot of these settings do. For example, what is the RSP code simulation? There are a lot of options for that setting, but what exactally do they do. What is all this stuff?

Thanks for any input you may have. I appriceate it.

Can't help you here, it runs fine for me with default settings. But if you head on over to http://www.smiff.clara.net/ you can get info on what everything is. There is also a Help file that comes with PJ64 that everyone seems to neglect...
