What's new

And now for something completely out-of-topic

This is not emulation related in the strict sense. At least not N64.

Anyone remembers Larry Laffer 1 by Sierra? Was pretty much the first PC game I ever played.

Well I worked quite a few hours using Cinema 4D and reconstructed the casino (thats where you start) in 3D. Attached you will find a movie rendered in Comic Mode (like Zelda The Wind Waker).

Would be fun to reconstruct a game like that in REAL 3D.

The pictures are screenshots of the game i used as template.

nice. for creating a real game you'll need a 3d engine. There's a method described on the UT modders/ developers forum about how creating a toon effect as in XIII (the game ...) and UT engine. The UT engine should be enough for that game i think. I know a bit UT modding and i think it could be the easy way to do it. just some triggers and some scripts and well all should be ok. Good luck Lemmy.

Cartoon effect is a nice option but with realistic rendering we have textures which is nice because the original textures look pretty unique in the scenes. Highres models with original lowres textures for a game remake....has that been done before? Btw I am now 22 and was like 12 when i played that game...but i think the "not for under 18" was more a joke than a real warning ;)

¡Whoa Lemmy, Amazing.

Give the VGA version a try as well, it's changed a lot since the first release of the game :)

Those where the days...

wow...don't know if I exactly remember that particular game, but certainly a few like it. At any rate, isn't it ironic, that if anyone else had posted this into the Nemu64 forum, it would probably be moved...

It's nice to see it in here, though, so that we know Lemmy is keeping busy :)
