When i start to play a game i will go to the cheat mode and Enable the cheat but then when i go back the cheat does not work

Be specific of what games you are trying to cheat with.
are they codes that are already in the file or have you put them in yourself.
have you also tried after enabling the codes pressing F1 (reset) so the codes are active before you get into the game play as Game Genie codes do not act like raw codes injecting straight to RAM.
