can someone note why exactly some games don't run with 3.46 and do run with 3.29? is there something that one can do to avoid the io error and stick with 3.46? thanks and sorry if this is already stated somewhere :P

No, if you check the d-tools website 3.46 is the newest...
And no, you can't use 3.46, because 3.29 was the last fully supporting version for CDI images, and that means in the newer ones they have broken some cdi emulation things, that's why it makes probs with chankast...

so you can google for a generic cdi to nero tool then mount it in the newest daemon. Problem solved.

I've only run a couple games in chankast, using 3.46, but no problems so far. Oh well.

Update: Chu Chu Rocket didn't work, had to go back to the old version of D-tools

Hey, i know this is an old thread, but i came across it anyway:), from the games i have, some have the io error which was reason to downgrade my daemon tools as i was un aware of the above. I tested all the games that didn't work on 3.44(i didn't have 3.46) on 3.29 and the io errors where gone, however, all those games crashed at the sonic logo or near it. So does it really make a difference?..
