when i drag the rom into the prog it just does some weird thing with percentages and then closes

if you dont know what srip is its a program that rips sound banks off 64 roms and dumps them as wav files.

you can download srip at http://thecpy.emulation64.com/thelastresort/pluginstools.htm#N64 Tools
its in the n64tools section under "sound bk ripper"

Ahhh SRip now that i know :p

Its very easy actually ill explain in Xp as thats the os i am on.

1st make the folder easy to reach a in dos cmd prompt.

so extract the srip01.zip to the C:\ Dir and rename it easy like srip.

now open the dos cmd by going to Start\Run and type cmd and ok

now on XP you would have to type in the Prompt:

CD C:\ and press Enter on your Keyboard (you will now see it saying C:\)
now type in CD srip and Enter (now srip will be active)

now place the rom you want to rip Sound/Music from and rename it simple.

so if it is zipped extract to the srip folder for this example lets say it is Mario Kart 64 (U) [!].zip

Rename the Mario Kart 64 (U) [!].v64 (or what ever extention) to Mario.v64 (Or whatever Extention)

now in the cmd Prompt Type: srip Mario.v64

and you will have all the wave files in there generated.

hope this helps.

Remember too that some games may compress their sound samples (Goldeneye comes to mind) so you may not get what you're expecting.
