Hi, I sort of found a solution to make games play in win2k. All the images i have, when burned onto CD will work in my dreamcast, but neither the burnt CD or mounted to a virtual drive will work in chankast. One time i got a burnt CD in my cd-writer drive to run in chankast.. then it suddenly stopped working. Later I realized that it worked simply because CDRWIN was running(I had just finished burning the image) and had loaded its drivers for the cd-writer, this helped chankast to read it correctly. :)
So now i can make any of my self-bootable burned CDs run in chankast like this:
1. insert cd
2. run cdrwin (leave it open)
3. run chankast
This only works in my cd-r drive consistently.. the first time, it worked in my dvd-rom drive as well. Unfortunately, it absolutely will not work on virtual drives, maybe because they load their own drivers before cdrwin :(
I'm interested in knowing the difference between cd access in 2k and xp and why 2k doesn't work, if anybody knows..
Hope this helped :)

those who doubt the trick shown above, heres a pic
getting extra boost for chanka:
1. turn off 'Show Stats'
2. play with the priority for the chankast process using the task manager, but don't set it too high, else it will crash.
