Hi everyone, someone happened to get this error message on his XP?
I wonder what could be wrong, i'm pretty sure my cpu has sse ;)
I have the latest DX etc installed. Mainboard is a k7s5a, maybe its fault?

Thanks!

check your bios.. maybe you've SSE disabled.

Hi, i just tried that, but no luck. There is no option to turn it on or off.
Damn and i just tried cpuid.. "SSE: Not supported" Great :/
I never noticed that before. wtf is going on here..
Gotta do some googling ;)

- UPDATE -

Now it works ;) Seems my BIOS is unable to switch on SSE.
For people which might have the same problem:
There is a tool for windows to turn it on manually.
Do a search for a4sse.zip, i put a link in my autostart folder.
Works fine now.

Ok another update ;)

The software fix worked, but caused the PC to restart quickly after running the emu. The problem with the k5s7a is; the bios has a bug which makes it hang with sse enabled, that's the reason why it's disabled in the bios.
Very nice, thanks ECS. Well you get what you pay for ;)
But anyway there is a way to get it work! There's a firmware from the k7s5a Pro u can flash, it enables sse and works stable here.
Filename is: oc1209b.zip . Yes you are burning a Pro bios to a 1.x or 3.x revison non pro board, but it works. I found that info on some k7s5a forums.
Works great here, but use at your own risk ;)

K7S5A? My brother and I both had those. Mine ran perfectly, my brother had problems-a-plenty with his. Especially with his AGP.
