hey guys, i got a crazy idea the other night, and id really appreciate any help you can give me.

the situation is this: apple recently released a port of the x11 environment for PPC chips that runs under OSX. I've been able to do some cool stuff with it, but only with binaries compiled for PPC processors. I downloaded the source code, but have no idea how to compile it for my machine, but I think it would be pretty cool to see if it works at all. I'm pretty sure that x11 for mac (actually its for darwin, the bsd subshell of mac osx) comes with a slew of graphics card plugins, so that shouldn't be a problem.

im really just asking for a simple walkthrough of how to compile things (obviously mupen, but i could do other programs with the knowledge) - my linux knowledge pretty much consists of ./ and ls

thanks!

Well, as far as I know, Mupen uses SDL and GTK.
There's GTK Port to MacOS and SDL is aviable for MacOS, too.
So you don't need X11 afait.
