dk64 is slow on pj64

can anybody help me with dk64.Its too slow. the speed is on 15fps:cry:

256 ram
750mhz amd draon
windows millennium

Could be the ME, I heard it sucks for emulation... Do other games work fine?

Is the emulator version. On pj 1.2 it runs at full speed, on 1.4 it run at the ridicolous speed of 4 fps.
