Mupen64 problem with the new 2.6 kernel?

Hello guys.

I am running Mandrake 10.0 with the new 2.6 kernel series (2.6.3-8mdk)

I've tried running the mupen64 binary, tried compiling it all from source, tried all the various plugins, but each and single time I get lag in graphics. Like once or twice a second it slows down then back up.

I've managed to run other emulators in WineX that ran better than Mupen64 so its not a problem with my hardware.

Well, any help appreciated.

Specs:
Intel Pentium 4 2.2ghz Northwood
512mb DDR ram
Nvidia Geforce 4 Ti-4600
SB Audigy

did you try both OSS and jttl's SDL sound plugins ?

I changed to Gentoo Linux and compiled jttls audio plugin and its smooth as butter now.

Nice emulator, keep up the good work :)
