new beta nvidia drivers available

You can download some beta nvidia drivers 60.72 at www.guru3d.com. just thought id let you know. from the review ive seen on the forum (where you have to go to get the drivers) they seem more for fx and maybe 4 model cards. not for older cards. im testing them now . so far so good.

I know I have been tasting them for awhile now pretty good drivers don't your think rcgamer. That be cool if nvidia was secretly improving there drivers for Rice's plugin. lol

yes so far they are at least as good the previous version . and according to some people on guru they have support for opengl 2.0.

h3h3 shouldn't be that hard seeing has it's the big buzz in the nvidia area of the guru3d furom.

rcgamer yea that's pretty cool. Can't wait until Rice takes advantage of opengl 2.0 for his plugin.

here is the readme , when i said they were more for fx or 4 type cards i was going by the reports from people on guru about their performance.

Installation instructions
-------------------------
1. These drivers must be installed by a user with Windows 2000/XP Administrator
privileges. Please consult your system administrator or Microsoft
Windows 2000/XP User's Manual for more information on Administrator
privileges.

2. Start Microsoft Windows 2000/XP.

3. From the Start menu, select Settings.

4. Select Control Panel.

5. Select System.

6. Select Device Manager.

7. Under Display adapters, select the name of the NVIDIA adapter you have
installed. If you do not see a Display adapters option, or if your NVIDIA
adapter is not listed, under Other Devices, select Video Controller (VGA
Compatible).

8. Select the Driver tab.

9. Select Update Driver.

10. Select Next.

11. Select Next.

12. Verify that "Specify a location" has a check mark next to it. If it does
not, click in the box next to "Specify a location" to place a check mark
in the box. Select Next.

13. Enter the path to the NVIDIA drivers in the "Copy manufacturer's files
from:" dialog. Select OK.

14. If you get a dialog box that states "A suitable driver for this device
is already installed.", click in the box next to "Install one of the
other drivers" to place a check mark in the box, then select Next.

Otherwise, select Next, then proceed to step 16.

15. Select the following driver from the list. NVIDIA RIVA TNT is used an
example; make sure to select your NVIDIA adapter from the list.

16. Select Finish.

hmm..oops
maybe I should read more carefully next time
are there really any improvements with rice's plugin???that'd be nice :)

nothing ive noticed so far. not better or worse either. give them a try. your card is on the list. and if they arent good just reinstall your old ones. no big deal. in fact my card isnt even on the list. lol, thats strange with some of the old cards on there.

Lex because before people had improvements over last drivers because of something to do with tnt or something.
