blend mode help!

The newer project 64 with service pack 1 does not work properly for me, yet the older one did. All of the chests open with black light and a few bosses that also had the yellow color now have black there. The older one works but the start menu does not. My specs are windows xp, 992mb ram, 1.8 gig processor, nvidia geforce4 mx 440. I have tried all of the other plugins. they fix the chest problem but then there is the start menu problem. is there any thing i can do.

it is zelda oot 1.0/ zelda oot 1.2/ zelda majoras mask. other minor problems that i dont mind but the zeldas are the ones i am worried about.

the chests still had black light come out of them.
