I don't know why somebody can't to make a PS2 OS on PC. I know that PS2 working not like PC, but some way should be to do that.

There isn't a "Operating System" for the Playstation 2, all it has is the BIOS (More of a CMOS) which only boots the PS2, Manages the MemCards, and sets other settings like Disc Speed for the PS2. You can't simply make a PS2 OS on a PC, emulation will strongly take a role in this because it will have to re-route all the PS2 calls to PC language. And as you can see, PS2 emulation is barely picking up. Also, wouldn't you think it's a waste of money?

Lets see;
Normal Playstation 2.
Functions: Plays DVDs, CDs, and PSone/2 Discs.
Cost: Around $200 (Throwing in a few games and controlers and more...)

Computer with "PS2 OS". :getlost:
Functions: High Class CPU, Extreme amont of Ram, Very Expensive Video Card, High Output Sound Card, CD/DVD Rom Drive, Top of the Line motherboard, All other essentials to run a computer.
Cost: $1000+ (This is a very educated(?) guess...)
Also, if you want to take your memory card around to a friends house, how will you do it, Save it to a floppy? :doh:

Whats the bargin genious? :getlost:

To argue against your points....

everyone on this board alreadys has a PC, and your agrgument would apply to every console that is emulated.
