Zelda OoT Problem

It's a little problem but it gets annoying. My problem is simply whenever I pause the game, there's a delay before bringing up the status/item/map/whatever screen. Any way to fix this?

Just go to the cheats option and enable the subscreen delay fix and you won't have that problem.

I checked for that and there's no cheat like that. I think I have a somewhat old version of pj64 though so I'll try and get the new one. Thanks for your help.

it's there all right. I'm using P64 v1.5 with SP1. When u load up OOT, just select options --> cheats. I'd make a screenshot, but that "subscreen delay" choice is literally the 1st one there. THere's still a 2.5 second delay when you as u enter the subscreen, but I think that's part of the actual game. (And no, i won't check, my N64 is buried somewhere in my garage). At any rate, it's a heck lotta better than the 8 seconds i had before
