Will 1964 be released by the end of the month??

I don't mean to be pushy but all I want is a hint of when it will be released and I think others do to.

No, and yes, they might, but other people have already asked this question. I don't want to be rude, but it will be ready when it's ready, and that's all the answer you will ever recieve, or at least the only one worth listening to.

I am not a beat tester, but my guess is that it looks like its gonig good, I say you are probably going to be right, but remember it comes out when Schibo wants it to come out, he has not hinted about the day of its release since people asked him last April about the release, and its just coming close.

:yucky: Why the hell are you people so impatient? Great things take time. Besides, who doesn't love a suprise? Sitting on your ass and asking for a release date (or a hint as you call it) will do absolutely nothing. :plain:

I agree, all things take time, and really, what else do you have to do besides sit there and wait?

I am not trying to be impatient at all I was just wondering how the process is going and I am absolutely wrapped that the 1964 team have made it this far and I applaud them. As you can see I have not posted a lot of threads/replys and I do not sit and wait. I only check out the emulation scene maybe a couple of times a week.

Remember that this is the last version Schibo (and Rice??) will work on. so what we get now is what we get. I know that the source is public and i really really hope that someone does pick it up but honestly i dont have much faith... so i reckon let them take their time and work things out.

I beg to differ that it is the last version, 0.9.9 isnt going to be the last version. There will be a 1.0.0, and that is the final verion.

i think the website said they "might" release 0.9.9. I sure hope they do, 'cause that'd really give the community something to tie us over until the final release.

It would also fix other people's errors that they might not have picked up from the beta testing

This is just some more thoughts on release dates. I imagine, if Schibo were to put up a release date, it wouldn't be hidden in some thread, or on an obscure web page. If he had a date in mind, and wanted it to be public, I would imagine it would be posted in a sticky thread with the release date as the subject. As he hasn't done this, it's pretty obvious that there isn't one.
