Why is the game so slow at times?
This game uses the framebuffer quite often - if you find it slows down, I suggest you enable "Use low resolution updates" (Video plugin, Advanced tab), and if still too slow try "Update less frequently" (though the latter may cause artifacts).

If you would read around in the forums then you would know. There isn't a way to get it to work at full speed or with good graphics all the way through the game. You are just going to have to wait until someone makes a plugin that can fix those problems.

mario golf runs smooth with glN64. It's "hardware frame buffer textures" option works excellent here. "Smooth" does not means "perfect" though
