Yo everybody!
I'm trying to get pokemon stad. 2 to work with project 64, and it works almost perfectly!
But I still have a few problems.
Take a look:

I have Radeon 9600 Pro, what should I change in the config. in order for the game to work?
Thanks in advance,
-Or.

Well,
Nobody can help?
Here are some more details:
Windows XP
Project 64 V 1.4
Plugin:
Jabo's Direct3D7 1.40
Buffer Display Mode = Transfer Memory
Texture Format = 16 & 32 Bit
Ok, now what's wrong?
I saw somebody else with the same problem, but his solution didn't match for me because he had a Voodoo card..

Use Glide64 0.42 + evoodoo 3.99 (you can download them both from the downloads-section). Place Glide64 in the plugin-dir and evoodoo in the main-dir. Select Glide64 for GFX and it will work fine!

Ok, done,
but I still have even more problems now:
First- it won't go Full screen.
Second- the problem still occures, although in some places I do see the texture I should see insread of garbage, but in most places I don't (such as in the picture I showed you at my 1st post).
I need to config. something special?
What's next?

Try to use the option "change blending mode if invalid for video" on Jabo's plugin. Another good option is using Rice's plugin (you can find it at the downloads-section).
Orsquall

Tried them both,
the option in Jabo doesn't change a thing, and Rice's plugin messes it up like Glide64 (but it runs a bit better).
Should I config something in Rice's?

Have you selected "high-end videocard" and disabled "fast texture"?

Hmm... I think I may have figured out your problem. Do you have "Self-Rendered Textures" (under Jabo's plugin in the advanced settings) on? I've seen a similar problem occur in Banjo-Tooie (if you look in the GameFAQ, they tell you to disable SRT's during the puzzles before each level, because of the tremedous amount of framebuffer emulation). Without SRT's, the puzzle pieces all appear just as the ones on your game seem to.

Why not try upgrading to the latest PJ64 version?
My friends system does not seem to have the problem you describe on his 9500 card. He's using PJ64 1.5 SP1 with all default plugins.

1.5(.1) has got some small problems with pokemon stadium 2.

I can't find the options you'r talking about ("Self-Rendered Textures", "high-end videocard", "fast texture").
I know they should be in Jabo, but I don't have them, maybe I have an old version?
My version is Jabo's Direct3D7 1.40.

Self-Rendered Textures is an advanced option in Jabo's 1.5/1.5.1. I could find no equivalent option in the old 1.40 plugin but I might be wrong.
The high-end videocard combiner and fast texture are options in Rice's Daedalus. The fast texture at one point caused odd effects but was fixed with the latest version (5.1.0d) so don't worry about that option.
I'd suggest upgrading to PJ64 1.5. It makes little sense having an old version. Jabo's may fix that problem, it looks a lot like a framebuffer effect to me (classic multicolour static) and Jabo's has the best framebuffer at the moment.

Ok- I upgraded to V 1.51 I got from Zophar.net, but the plugins are fucked up, they won't work.
It only runs the older version of Jabo.
Now- come on, I know it's not allowed to download Jabo's plugin without project 64 but I'v already done it and it sank me in even deeper troubles,
so can't anyone send me the new version of Jabo?
Or tell me where to get it properly?
Than I should configure the plugin in the way you told me and everything should work fine, right?

Jabo himself has asked that no one pass around his plugins without them being a part of the PJ64 emulator archive, so I hope no one will send them to you.
Aside from that, I would get the emu from the main source itself PJ64 (http://www.pj64.net) (sadly Zophar's has been steadily going down hill IMO, but that's another thread altogether).
Make sure to either delete your current installation or copy it to temp folder then install the new one. Nothing like fresh files to make all things good. :)

Because you install the SP 1 en the project 64 1.4,you need de PJ64 1.5 and then, install de PJ64 SP 1.The PJ64 not load the newest version of jabo´s video plug-in.
Rememver:Download PJ64 1.5 form www.pj64.net and then install the PJ64 Service pack 1 in this page: http://pj64.emulation64.com/support/

Hmm, I downloaded 1.5 from the pj64 website, than upgraded to 1.5.1...
Now the game won't play at all- I only get a black screen...
Here's the log:
[1:48:57 PM 10/8/2003] Direct3D is almost out of texture space

Try a lower resolution and/or transfer memory.

Thanks buddy. I shouldn't encounter any problems anyway. I've looked through your previous posts, and the solutions provided, and your outcomes. I'll be prepared for whatever happens.
......I just don't want crappy graphics. My Video Card should cover that though.....right?
And also, I'll be uploading my own Pokemon into the game (thanks to N Rage, it is a saviour for all rental-haters). I'm sure to beat the game into the dirt without the cheat codes.

i got a quick q. it kind of has to do with pokemon stadium 2. is there a transfer pack plugin so i can use pokemon from my gameboy roms? if not it is kind of stupid to use the hand selected pokemon. and when i downloaded mine it was in .rar format and it won't open how do i change that?
Mr D Man
August 14th, 2003, 14:22
Yes there is a transfer-pak-capable plugin with the latest version of Project 64. Dunno how to use it properly yet...because I don't have stadium 2 yet. But you will be able to use your own Pokemon, which is a lifesaver for me personally.

There was a thread about that not long ago, search "Pokemon Stadium" in the forum.

ARGH!!!! PROBLEMS OF THE GRAPHICAL KIND!!!
Not that many to stop gameplay, but they are annoying and I want them fixed.
Examples are;
- Pokemon pictures not appearing in the VS screen and Win/Lose screens
- A tree turning different colours when Pokemon are out and when they aren't
- When you have selected a Pokemon and look at its personal screen (name, stats, moves etc.) its little picture isn't there, there is only some garbaled graphics
- When Pokemon are in battle, their picture windows only have garbaled graphics.
- When you enter the main screen of the Mini Games, there is some multi coloured static for a few seconds and some slowdown.
- When Strength is used, the ground below the user and opponent turns completly black.
I dunno how to solve this.
Also, when I enter the game, the N Rage plugin says it can't start emulating. I click on the box, then it does it three more times before letting me play. Weird........???

I have tried Orsquall, believe me I have. But nothing has worked, that's partly why I posted my own thread.
I tried a much older version of PJ64 (v1.0 i think) and it had a few (VERY few) things right that v1.5.1 did not. Strange!
Could it be that an older version will run PS2 better than the latest?

I very much so doubt it. All the problems I've encountered aren't much of a big deal, mostly unemulated framebuffer effects and textures. I tried glN64() 0.4 and it showed much more stuff, but it flickered like crazy. These problems are unfixable at the moment. The game is still fully playable with Jabo's latest (which is of course discontinued).

Hello but How in the world u got Pokemon Stadium 2 in Project 64.

If you wait for the newest glide64 plugin to be released, it might very well solve many or part of your problems due to that it actually emulates these frame buffer effects :w00t:
Gonetz has himself posted many pictures of the kind where we see this working.
