It seems that with an Athlon processor, you cannot launch the emu : SSF wants a proc with SSE instructions.

I have tried running this new version and i get an error message.

'It failed in reading a file.'

Now usually this would be a missing boot.rom file but it is there. Any ideas what is causing this?

Incidentaly, i could never get the 0.6a to run. The ASPI is there, it would spin up the CD, the blue SEGA logo would come up but then black screen and nothing else. CD would eventually spind down.

The bios has to be renamed to 'bootrom.bin'. That's how I got it to run, but the new SSF stays at a black screen afterwards.
